At A Glance
The ECG remains the cornerstone of arrhythmia diagnosis, even after an explosion of technology and rapid expansion of our understanding of arrhythmia mechanisms. While many traditional textbooks emphasize cataloguing arrhythmias and pattern recognition, this book by internationally recognized professor George J. Klein, MD, presents a universally applicable systematic approach to ECG arrhythmia diagnosis based on careful measurement and identification of key events and exploring their expected electrophysiological underpinnings. There is fundamentally no difference in the principles and strategies behind understanding the ECG and intracardiac tracings both are absolutely complementary. ... The book is meant for serious students of arrhythmias, be they cardiology or electrophysiology trainees or established physicians.

Description
This book provides great real-world clinical vignettes and the associated ECGs. Each vignette breaks down complex ECGs into simple, easy to understand explanations.
Purpose
The purpose is to review complex arrhythmia problems in a focused and simplified manner. Each scenario corresponds to a clinical question and subsequently answers that inquiry by evaluating the characteristic clues and findings on its particular ECG.
Audience
This book is most suitable for general cardiologists or electrophysiologists. However, it is also a great resource for any physician, trainee, or medical student who is interested in cardiology to further refine their arrhythmia identification and diagnosis.
Features
Each vignette has a corresponding ECG which is simplified for further explanation. The vignettes enhance readers' understanding of these conditions immensely and enable them to contextualize the information.
Assessment
As arrhythmias are one of the most common and perplexing problems in cardiology, this book is an excellent resource for those wishing to improve their ECG and arrhythmia interpretation.
